Online registration for 2009 Outdoor Retailer Summer Market Expo and Open Air Demo is now open. Industry insiders planning to attend the event can visit the official registration page and sign up for the upcoming show, scheduled for July 20-24, 2009 in Downtown Salt Lake City and Snowbasin Resort, Port Ramp Property in Eden, Utah, east of Ogden.

In it’s continuing effort to serve the outdoor industry’s evolving needs, Outdoor Retailer (OR) recently announced the 2009 Summer Market Open Air Demo has changed from two days to one day. This year’s Open Air Demo will take place at Pineview Reservoir (near Odgen, Utah) on Monday, July 20, 2009, prior to OR Summer Market’s indoor expo, July 21-24, 2009.

With some of the most recognized tradeshows taking hits in recent weeks, the Outdoor Industry continues a strong showing during tough economic times. Nielsen Business Media predicts show numbers for the upcoming OR show to be on track with last year’s attendance.

This year’s OR Winter Market show will also offer exhibitors and attendees several new and improved events/venues.

Project OR will make its debut at Outdoor Retailer Winter Market 2009. The outdoor fashion event was a success at the Summer Market 2008. The student design competition highlights the supply story behind OR.

The event features five hand-picked design students from some of the top design programs across the country to design and create a garment prototype that is an original, innovative use of performance and eco-friendly materials, and has a practical application for the winter outdoor market.

Buyers who register before December 19, 2008 will receive free show credentials in the mail and expo information prior to the show.
