FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Interbike Opens a Portion of OutDoor Demo East to Consumers

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. — April 6, 2009 – Interbike OutDoor Demo East, traditionally a trade-only event, will now be open to the public on Saturday Oct. 10 and Sunday Oct. 11, 2009 at Roger Williams Park in Providence, R.I. The first two days of OutDoor Demo East, Thursday Oct. 8 and Friday Oct. 9, will be open to members of the cycling industry only.

“Last year’s inaugural OutDoor Demo East gathered dealers and manufacturers for product demos, business deals and networking. However, we recognize these groups are just two of the three pieces of the entire cycling community mix,” said Andy Tompkins, Interbike show director. “Opening the last two days of OutDoor Demo East for consumer participation is a great way to incorporate that final piece.”

In addition to two new consumer days for product demos, OutDoor Demo East is contracted with GSD Event Productions LLC, a New England-based promotional firm, to produce the Providence Cyclo-Cross Festival, a USA Cycling-sanctioned professional and amateur cyclo-cross race event.

“Years ago we recognized Roger Williams Park to be, perhaps, the finest cyclo-cross venue in America. Securing this date, this venue, the support of this fabulous city and this partnership with Interbike, gives us a unique opportunity to create a really spectacular event,” said Richard Fries, marketing-communications director for GSD Event Productions. “Get your cowbells ready; this will be fantastic.”

The OutDoor Demo East event is still intended to be an important trade event focused on the needs of Northeast and Mid-Atlantic retailers and/or additional staff unable to attend the Interbike International Expo, held in Las Vegas. To that end, the National Bicycle Dealer Association (NBDA) will again bring its popular retail education Super Seminars to the event.

“A wide variety of seminars are being planned, with topics including sales, marketing, management strategies and industry trends,” said Fred Clements, NBDA Executive Director. “Each year the NBDA strives to bring compelling content focused on retailer-specific needs aimed at improving the bottom-line of all bicycle retailers. We look forward to doing so again for East Coast dealers attending OutDoor Demo East.”

OutDoor Demo East 2009 will run Thursday, October 8 to Sunday, October 11, 2009, from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Roger Williams Park in Providence, R.I.

Interbike OutDoor Demo East is based on the Interbike OutDoor Demo held in conjunction with the Interbike International Bicycle Expo in Las Vegas and will include product testing, NBDA seminars, manufacturer technical clinics and networking events.

For questions about exhibiting at OutDoor Demo East, please e-mail Interbike sales manager, Andria Klinger at andria.klinger@nielsen.com.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Top U.S. Athletes Are Signing On to Use and Endorse H2O Overdrive,
an Innovative New Hydration Sports Drink

H2O Overdrive, an all-encompassing sports drink, is getting the support of professional
athletes and top amateurs in its launch in the sports nutrition marketplace

PARK CITY, Utah – March 16, 2009 - Innovative Health SolutionsTM, LLC (IHS) today announced the signing of more than 30 well-known, respected and accomplished professional athletes as part of its Athlete Ambassadors program.

About the Athlete Ambassador Program
Some of the first Athlete Ambassadors signed include:

U.S. Alpine Skier Erik Schlopy, U.S. Olympic Skier (1994, 2002 and 2006 Winter Olympics), seven-time national champion and Giant Slalom bronze medalist in the 2003 World Championships who recently retired from the U.S. Ski Team,

Derek Parra, a 2002 U.S. Olympic Speed Skating gold and silver medalist, and former Olympic record holder in the 1500-meter speed skating event, and

Summer Sanders, the most decorated U.S. swimmer of the 1992 Olympic Games, T.V. broadcaster and UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador

With its Athlete Ambassador program, IHS is spreading the word among athletes across a wide spectrum of sports that H2O OverdriveTM is one of the most comprehensive and nutritionally balanced high-performance sports hydration drinks ever developed – that it is ‘THE” sports drink for serious athletes competing in top physical condition and in hydrating their bodies for optimal performance.

According IHS co-founder and self-proclaimed weekend warrior, Randy Olshen, H2O Overdrive will improve athletes performance when it’s used as part of their nutritional routine before, during and after sporting events or physical training.

“My friend, Terry Giles, a world renowned athlete, trainer and product formulator, is the other co-founder and my partner in IHS, and he developed H2O Overdrive with athletes and weekend warriors in mind,” Olshen said. “It’s only natural that these professional athletes are excited about endorsing a product that they actually use and are seeing benefit from using. The great part is we’re getting awesome feedback from all of the athletes who have tried H2O Overdrive.

“Not only do athletes love the taste of H2O Overdrive, but they can truly appreciate the nutritional value and hydration aspects of it. For us, that’s the best part since the drink was formulated with athletes and performance as our focus. From all of our combined years of experience, we knew what was missing in the market and we feel we have delivered.”

According to Olshen, the Athlete Ambassador program continues to expand and will soon include athletes from top professional sports such as the NHL, PGA, triathlon and Ironman competitions, motorsports, professional and amateur cycling, mountain biking, professional surfers, professional volleyball and more.

Schlopy, who laughs at the word ‘retire’ since he still maintains an aggressive workout routine, said he became an Athlete Ambassador because H2O Overdrive enhances his workouts and gives him all the nutrients and energy combined in one great tasting drink.

“The decision to become an H2O Overdrive Athlete Ambassador was actually very easy for me,” he said. “Since I began incorporating it into my workouts, I’ve noticed my body and mind prepare and recover a lot faster. Its formula really does have the perfect balance of nutrients and protein to give me the hydration needed for any training. Plus, it’s one of the only drinks of its kind that gives me everything I need without all the unnecessary sugars, while still tasting great.”

H2O Overdrive has a scientifically developed blend of ingredients designed to ensure hydration at the cellular level with a three-to-one ratio of protein-to-carbohydrates, powerful blend of more than 30 essential minerals, electrolytes, amino acids and vitamins, and only three grams of sugar (1/10 the amount of sugar in other sports beverages).

For more information about the Athlete Ambassador program or to become an H2O Overdrive distributor or retailer, visit www.H2OOverdrive.com or call 1-888-426-4104.

We’re excited for consumers to use this beverage and let the oral hydration science behind it help them achieve their athletic goals and leave their competition in the dust.”

Erik Schlopy, U.S. alpine skier and Giant Slalom champion, is one of several dozen Athlete Ambassadors for H2O Overdrive. According to Schlopy, the beverage helps him maximize his workouts without overloading on sugar.

“In 18 years as a professional athlete I’ve never come across a more complete, effective and dynamic sports hydration drink,” Schlopy said. “I used to have to cut and paste protein bars, sports drinks and various supplements to get even close to the same benefits I get from H2O Overdrive. And the best part, it tastes fantastic and smooth going down.”

H2O Overdrive Science and Ingredients

H2O Overdrive contains a three-to-one ratio of specific carbohydrates to a high-quality protein substrate, formulated with a balanced electrolyte matrix, specific amino acids, essential vitamins and minerals as well as a few other key nutritional ingredients promotes hydration/rehydration at the cellular level. This allow H2O Overdrive to stimulate nutrient uptake within the cell, promoting and supporting energy, muscle function, stamina and recovery by triggering specific physiological responses.

Recent studies have shown that protein-carbohydrate electrolyte sports beverages improve performance better than carbohydrate-electrolyte sports beverages or water alone. Additionally, the caffeine equivalent to “one cup of coffee” in H2O Overdrive helps active bodies use stored energy before muscle protein to prolong endurance. It also enhances blood vessel widening (dilation) for increased nutrient transport and increased cognitive response; or in other words, it helps enhance protein absorption and increases brain function.

About H2O Overdrive
H2O Overdrive is a high-performance sports beverage that hydrates and energizes athletes at the cellular level with a precise protein-to-carbohydrate ratio and a unique blend of essential minerals, electrolytes, amino acids and vitamins. Its formula helps athletes’ bodies and minds prepare for (and recover from) strenuous workouts, improving overall muscle and athletic performance.

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

OR Summer Market Open Air Demo Returns to One Day Format

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – March 2, 2009 - To continue to serve the industry’s evolving needs, Outdoor Retailer (OR) today announced the 2009 Summer Market Open Air Demo has been changed from two days to one day. This year’s Open Air Demo will take place at Pineview Reservoir (near Odgen, Utah) on Monday, July 20, 2009, prior to OR Summer Market’s indoor expo, July 21-24, 2009.

As a one day event, OR is extending Open Air Demo hours from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. This extension provides exhibitors ample time with buyers and retailers with a full day of product and accessory demos, ending early enough to allow exhibitors time to set up for the following day’s indoor exposition at the Salt Palace Convention Center.

“After much discussion with exhibitors and attendees, expanding the hours and moving to one full day made the most business sense,” said Marisa Nicholson, Outdoor Retailer national sales manager. “Packing more hours into one demo day eases the logistics of overnight lodging and expenses of an extra travel day for both exhibitors and retailers. Since the overall mood of retail business has everyone evaluating every dollar spent, we feel it’s the right decision for 2009.”

The Open Air Demo events and demonstrations that attendees enjoy, and have come to rely on as they make crucial buying decisions, will continue as usual. A few events and perks to look forward to include:

Climbing Demo

Jeff Lowe and Ogden Climbing Parks, in cooperation with Snowbasin Mountain Guides, will provide multi-pitch and sport climbing venues at Open Air Demo. Beginners and expert climbers alike will be shuttled to Snowbasin, where they will ride the gondola up to the Needles Lodge and enjoy four pitches of moderate (5.5) high country quartzite slabs.

Wasatch Whitewater Chute-Out

The 2nd annual Wasatch Whitewater Chute-Out, lead by race director Lee Hart of Brand Amp, will take place on the Ogden River, down river from the Open Air Demo at Pineview Reservoir. An adrenaline-infused showdown between dealers and pandle sports pros, consists of heats of four racers paddling down a two-mile section of the Ogden River while spoilers attempt to thwart race progress from various sections along the course.

Free (and Green) Transportation to Open Air Demo

All Outdoor Retailer show participants (with show badge) are invited to take the new FrontRunner train from the Salt Lake station to the Odgen station for free. Complimentary shuttles will run between the Ogden station and Open Air Demo between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. on Monday, July 20, 2009.

“This year’s Open Air Demo will truly be the multi-sport festival we envisioned years ago, centered around paddlesports but inclusive of all the adventure categories where field testing is of great value,” said Kenji Haroutunian, Outdoor Retailer show director. “Whether retailers are honing their geocaching skills, or testing a new hull design in the whitewater, they can get a lot done in one day before the start of Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2009.”

The hardgoods, apparel and accessories available for testing at the 2009 Outdoor Retailer Open Air Demo represent products from the following outdoor segments: paddlesports, running, climbing, camping, geocashing and natural products. Open Air Demo will be held at last year’s successful location within Pineview Reservoir (Port Ramp Property) in Eden, Utah, east of Ogden and convenient to downtown Salt Lake City.

Detailed information of the events surrounding the OR Open Air Demo will be released in the coming months. For more information about exhibiting at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market/Open Air Demo and other events and marketing opportunities surrounding the show, please visit www.outdoorretailer.com.

Outdoor Retailer Winter Market Expo Pre-Show Numbers on
Schedule to Match Last Year’s Show

New and revamped show programs help meet evolving exhibitor and attendee tradeshow needs

SAN JUAN CAPISTRANO, Calif. – Dec. 17, 2008 – Less than six weeks out from its Winter Market Show, Outdoor Retailer (OR) reported that close to 330,000 square-feet of exhibit space is currently sold, putting the tradeshow on par with last Winter Market. As of the release date, OR is also hosting more than 175 new exhibitors.

“Despite uncertain times for several retail categories, recent outdoor industry research shows the market remains healthy,” said Kenji Haroutunian, Outdoor Retailer show director. “This trend is holding true for the Outdoor Retailer Winter Market as nearly 800 exhibitors have purchased an average of five percent more floor space than in years past. At this point, we are on target to meet last year’s exhibitor and attendee numbers.”

In addition to healthy show numbers, Outdoor Retailer also affords its exhibitors and attendees valuable new and revamped events/venues for meeting their business and networking objectives during the show.

Backcountry Base Camp
All Outdoor Retailer attending retailers are invited to spend a day at Backcountry Base Camp (BBC), receive a discount lift ticket, view hands-on exhibitor displays and test backcountry products including Nordic skis, snowshoes and accessories. A limited amount of Telemark and Alpine Touring gear will also be available for selective testing.

Specifically, this year’s BBC features a new, more realistic testing track for Nordic skiing and will be held Wednesday, January 21, 2009, at Snowbasin Ski Resort in Ogden, Utah.

Backcountry Village
A centralized community space located on the show floor, the Backcountry Village features the most relevant product, people and technologies for the winter hardgoods marketplace. Attendees and exhibitors alike are invited to enjoy the sense of backcountry community with ongoing videos, presentations, seating and cappuccino bar.
