Interbike’s OutDoor Demo East, traditionally a trade-only event, recently announced that it will now include consumer days on Saturday Oct. 10 and Sunday Oct. 11, 2009 at Roger Williams Park in Providence, R.I. The first two days of OutDoor Demo East, Thursday Oct.8 and Friday Oct. 9 will be trade-only days.

Consumers are invited to come and check out the latest and greatest cycling gear the industry has to offer.

In the recent La Vuelta de Mexico race, several riders from Team OUCH Presented by MAXXIS, sponsored by Ritchey Design, had two Stage wins and won the Overall Sprint Competition title in Mexico City, March 1-8, 2009. Andrew Pinfold won Stage 8, making Team OUCH the first team to cross the finish line, while Cameron Evans won Stage 6 and Karl Menzies earned the Overall Sprint Competition title.

Ritchey Design components shined during the World Road Championships held in Varese, Italy when Ritchey-sponsored riders Alessandro Ballan and Damiano Cunego, both of Italy, took first and second place in the elite men’s category.

Nicole Cooke, recent Olympic gold medalist of Great Britain and also a Ritchey-sponsored rider, took first place in the women’s elite category.

Lance Armstrong recently made news by announcing he would return to professional cycling. This press conference, called by Lance and hosted by Interbike, will address his desire to get back to the sport of professional cycling.

Before the fun that is Interbike 2008 begins downtown Las Vegas, the media and retailers gather at Bootleg Canyon in Boulder City, Nevada to test out all the cycling industry’s latest bikes and gear. Remember to bring your helmet, courage and a sense of adventure.

Delta 7 Sports announces its next generation Arantix mountain bike and will showcase the new model at the 2008 OutDoor Demo and Interbike show in Las Vegas. The new frame is stronger and better than previous models and the price point has dropped to be more competitive with other high-end mountain bikes on the market.

SCOTT USA and Ritchey Design today announced their co-sponsorship of the Elite men’s and women’s races at CrossVegas this month. In addition, both companies will be hosting a VIP retirement party at the races for Thomas Frischknecht to celebrate his incredible 19-year career as a World Cup competitor.
